Travis's path to founding Body Techs wasn't a straight line — it was forged through adversity. Raised in an unstable environment, he spent his early years navigating the streets, working in restaurants, and fighting his way toward something better. "Deep down, I always knew I was meant for more. I just didn't know how to get there."
The turning point came through fitness. After transforming his own health, Travis got certified and began training others. When COVID upended the restaurant industry, he found himself working in the wellness space — using cryotherapy, red light therapy, and NormaTec compression every day. "For the first time in years, I felt incredible. This is it — this is what people need."
He got his wife's blessing, pulled equity from their home, and bet everything on his vision. He built Body Techs from the ground up — rebranding, redesigning, and pouring his own blood, sweat, and resources into something he knew the Twin Cities needed. In just three years, it has grown into the area's premier wellness and esthetics destination, voted Minnesota's Best in multiple categories. "You can mimic our services — but you can't replicate our heart."

Through Transformation
Fitness became his first turning point. After transforming his own body and health, he got certified and began helping others — mostly people stuck in the same unhealthy patterns he'd lived.

Travis saw a gap in the market and seized it. He bet everything — his own money, his own time, his own vision — on the belief that people deserve access to elite wellness. He built Body Techs from scratch into something the Twin Cities had never seen before.

Seven years ago, I found a passion for wellness and recovery when taking a Pilates class to help lingering back issues. I became a Pilates teacher and stepped away from a twenty-year career in engineering. I started my own private Pilates studio in 2020. I now have the opportunity to help clients at Body Techs with my passion and knowledge of wellness as a Cryo Technician.
